Our holiday in Quinta Do Lago

Tags: villa

A half term October holiday in Quinta do Lago, Portugal with 4 boys under the age of 13!!!!…..“We must be mad”!  We hear ourselves asking each other!

Myself (GTP Director), My wife (The real boss!), our 2 boys, Jack 13 (Rugby mad), Harry 11 (Computer crazy) , and their 2 school friends! A week in the sun (we hope) with 4 boys!  Surely we must be crazy!

After a non-eventful flight with Easyjet from Stanstead we arrive late into Faro airport (11.30pm) and it is abouseletly pouring with rain! Not a great start!!

My choice for our half term Villa break was 37 Rui Sado, Quinta Do Lago, one of our favorite and most popular villas in Quinta Do Lago. This amazing  4 bedroom villa comes complete with heated pool (a must in October!) Games room with pool table and various games (perfect if it is raining!) a cinema room (now I want one of these!) and wait for it… its very own fully equipped GYM!!!! (Got used once in 7 days!!!, but I did walk in every morning, and then walk out again!)

Quinta Do Lago villa

All of us got up bright and early on our first day, and the 4 boys explored this huge and luxurious villa, all we could hear was “WOW” “COOL” and “LOOK AT THIS!” We new we had made the right choice, and guess what the sun was shining and it felt warm! After over an hour of the boys exploring the villa and their home for the next week, I heard them say “POOL” and with that all 4 had jumped in the pool, they pretty much spent all day and everyday their after, in and out of the heated pool, this was obviously in-between playing pool, watching movies and generally doing fun stuff that this great villa provides.

We had made such a good choice, as when it came to 9pm all 4 boys were exhausted and either fell asleep watching TV or just asked to go to bed “ that never happens at home” I hear my wife say!

In fact in the 7 days at the villa we only ventured out 3 times, twice for food shopping (don’t even ask the cost for food shopping for 4 young men!) and then once to the go karting track in Almancil. This was a great afternoon and the boys raced against each other for 30 minutes. The boys just wanted to stay at the villa everyday and have fun!

This is a great testament for this villa, and I now know why it is so popular with families and normally gets booked up 1 year in advance!

Now the other great thing about this villa is Mia the housekeeper, Mia visits the villa every day (Monday to Saturday) for 3 hours, to clean, wash floors, changes the linen and towels and just make sure everything is ok. Mia is a abouslete star and a fantastic asset to this property.

August 2014 is already fully booked in this villa, but we still have dates left for Easter, June, July and October 2014. Why not take a look for yourselfs below !
