Invictus Games Orlando. The ESPN Wide World of Sports at the Walt Disney World® Resort will be the host for the paralympic Invictus Games on May 8th to May 12th 2016. The Invictus Games Orlando sporting event will only be the 2nd time this unique international sporting event has been held. The very first Invictus Games were held in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, and are the brainchild of Prince Harry. The 2017 Invictus Games will be held in Toronto, Canada.

Invictus Games Orlando 2016
The Invictus Games feature injured active military service members competing in 10 adapted sporting events. The Invictus Games Orlando will showcase over 500 veteran competitors from 14 different countries. In America, The Invictus Games are strongly and publicly supported by First Lady Michelle Obama and Second Lady Jill Biden.
The Opening ceremony on May 8th at 8 p.m. EST will feature international musicians and celebrities including international folk music star and singer Laura Wright , songwriter James Blunt and American movie star Morgan Freeman. The ceremony will include appearances from the armed services bands including the US Army, US Air Force, US Navy Bands, and the US Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.
The closing ceremonies will showcase the talents of music pop star Rachel Platten, country music band Rascal Flatts, hip hop star Flo Rida and wounded veteran band Vetted.
