The R programming tool is widely used among statisticians, researchers and data miners for data analysis. It allows us to explore data and create intuitive plots. It can also build models based on data which can be used for predictive analytics. In our IoT enabled asset management solution, sensors are linked with assets and are configured to communicate with our application at frequent intervals. These IOT sensor devices send data about temperature, humidity, usage, movement etc to our sensor device management and analytics software application. Application also holds information about other aspects of the asset like age, vendor, service history etc.
With the help of analytics, we can transform this data into insight for making better decisions. Reporting informs us about what has happened and presents relevant data in structured and aggregated manner for us to interpret.
