Today tabletop game developer CMON announced Cyberpunk 2077 – Afterlife: The Card Game, an upcoming card game based in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
Afterlife is a card drafting game that puts players in the role of Fixers, who are people in the Cyberpunk universe that hire cyberpunks (like the 2077 video game’s main character) to do jobs for them. You’ll draft cards to help you complete missions, which then raises your Street Cred until you eventually win the game.
According to its announcement post, Afterlife is a colloboration between CMON and Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt RED. It is also designed by Eric M. Lang, a renowned board game creator known for games like Blood Rage and Bloodborne: The Card Game.
Lang explained that he is “a huge fan of Cyberpunk” and has played the tabletop games from their first iteration. And while we haven’t seen components for it yet past the box above, Cyberpunk 2077 – Afterlife: The Card Game will be launching sometime in 2020.
