Hello again, Nuketown.
Treyarch announced details for the latest Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update on their subreddit, marking the return of the iconic Nuketown map, along with updates across all game modes.
A stability update has been added for Zombies, various improvements in Multiplayer mode, and the Bowie Knife in Blackout which gives 1-hit melee kills, as well as new Character Missions, also added to Blackout.
Nuketown has been “reimagined” for Blacks Ops 4 and is available one week early for PlayStation 4 users. In celebration of the return of the classic map, Zombies will now spawn on Nuketown Island in Blackout, with a new Zombie Supply Stash spawn location directly behind the Nuketown sign.
The Zombies update has over 60 crash fixes across all maps, including the Max Ammo bugs, Easter Egg Quest, and the return of the Speed Cola functions. Treyarch also noted that more details on changes coming to Zombies will be shared in the future, such as Daily Callings, the Black Ops Authenticity Stamp system, and split screen improvements.
Weapons throughout all modes have received updates, but specifically in regards to Multiplayer. The SMGs, SG12 Strobe Light, the Titan, and Cold Blooded have all been tweaked. Specialists have also received large changes, especially Ajax and Prophet.
Game modes within Multiplayer have been greatly updated, from changes to Hardcore, Heist, and Search and Destroy.
All players will now be able to have access to the “Icons” Character Missions in Blackout, which includes Mason, Woods, Menendez, and Reznov that are able to be unlocked. A new Team Scoreboard has been added in Duos and Quads for easy checking on your team update during the match. Weapons will also appear faster now at the beginning of the matches, so as to give quicker time in getting fitted with a weapon.
Daily Tier Skips have now launched in both Blackout and Multiplayer – for every match you win in Multiplayer or Merit you earn in Blackout for the day, you will be able to redeem a Bonus Tier in the Black Market daily.
