Stalk mutants and players alike in Fear The Wolves
Focus Home Interactive and Vostok Games – developers of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series – have announced Fear The Wolves, a post-apocalyptic Battle Royale game coming to PC and console later this year. The title was unveiled at Focus’ annual press event, Le What’s Next de Focus, taking place today and tomorrow.
“Fear the Wolves drops players, in squads or as lone wolves, into the oppressive environments of a radiation-ravaged Chernobyl,” read the press release. “The classic Battle Royale Mode forces them to fight to be the last man standing out of 100 fighters.”
As well as the threat of other survivors, players will have to watch out for “deadly anomalies” and the dynamic weather system. A day-night cycle conspires to make things even more difficult, forcing players to change up their strategies on the fly.
Meanwhile, special protective gear can be collected to enable exploration of “dangerous off-limit zones.”
Expect to see a selection of mutants roaming around the wasteland too.
In addition to the Battle Royale mode, there will be “another intense and original game mode will also bring a fierce new twist to the genre.”
Prior to launch, PC players can look forward to getting hands-on with the game through Early Access.
