Call of Duty WW2 Divisions Detailed Ahead of Beta

Call of Duty: WWII‘s beta is merely a month away at this point (it’ll run from August 25-28 on Playstation 4), so Activision is starting to detail how the game’s Divisions system will work. This new create-a-class system will allow players to customization their multiplayer character so they can put themselves into World War II. That actually sounds absolutely horrific now that I’ve typed it out.

Anyhow, there’ll be five divisions in all. They are: Armored, Mountain, Airborne, Expeditionary, and Infantry. All five will feature different skills and training perks. For example, Infantry Division players will have access to the Rifle Bayonet III skill which “makes Infantry riflemen a threat at all ranges.” They’ll also have Infantry III training, which gives them an additional attachment on their primary gun, extra magazines, and the ability to move faster while aiming down sights.

The PlayStation Blog has full descriptions for each class. Here’s how they describe the Armored Division:

This Division specializes in laying down a withering offense to buy their team breathing room. Their bipod-equipped light machinegun shreds lightly armored targets, while their armor protects them from enemy explosives, tactical equipment and flamethrowers. When extra punch is required, the Anti-Tank Grenade sticky bomb is the ideal choice.

Call of Duty: WWII is set to release November 3, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The PlayStation 4 beta is set to go down next month from August 25 through the 28.
