Rock Band 4 Danger Zone and Archer Being Added

Are you old enough to remember Tom Cruise’s Top Gun? If so, then you also probably know the film’s most famous track — Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone.” As you can see from the title, it’s headed to Rock Band 4!

Check out the trailer above and you’re in for a awesome surprise. For those not familiar with Top Gun, then you might remember Danger Zone from another TV show, and that’s Archer. Prepare to be dazzled as special agent Sterling Archer is rocking it in the Danger Zone in Rock Band 4!

Here’s how this thing transpired according to Rock Band Product Manager Daniel Sussman:

When we received word that the Kenny Loggins mega-hit was coming to the Rock Band DLC Music Library, our thoughts immediately went to Archer. We’re big fans of the show. In fact, you could say that we like Archer as much as Archer likes, well, “Danger Zone”. So we reached out to the good folks at FXX and Floyd County Productions to see if they’d like to do something special for Rock Band and Archer fans and they jumped at the chance. An Archer cameo in Rock Band was happening.

Also of note, the Rock Band 4 March update is rocking out tomorrow, March 16, and in addition to Danger Zone and Archer, new outfits can be purchased in the Rock Shop, and even a playable Normandy bass from Mass Effect!

Hopefully, this is the start of more cross-medium collaborations for Rock Band 4.

What song and which IP do you want to appear as Rock Band 4 DLC?
