This is the complete list of official twitter handles of all Nigerian banks since social banking has revolutionised the way we Bank.

Several definitions of social banking may exist, the simplest is: social banking is a  medium through which account balance, airtime recharge, money transfers, payment of bills, account opening, suggestions and complaints can be performed on Facebook, twitter, Google plus, YouTube, and other social media platforms.

That said. The aim of this article is to  furnish social account holders with the right twitter handles of bank to follow because there are impersonating handles out there aimed at getting your details dubiously.

Here are the twitter handles of all financial institutions in Nigeria:

@myaccessbank is the handle of Access Bank. This has 103,310 Followers, with 15,318 tweets to its credit as of the time of compiling this list.

@Citibank is the official twitter handle of Citibank Nigeria Limited. This handle has 322,387 followers with 7,189 tweets.

@DiamondBankNG is the handle through which Diamond Bank Plc tweets its 85,092 followers. Already, the bank has 8,715 tweets to his credit.

@GroupEcobank belongs to Ecobank Nigeria Plc with 7,036 followers and 2,436 tweets so far.

@fidelitybankplc is the official handle of Fidelity Bank Plc where its 41,101 followers can resolve banking issues and get updates about the services of Fidelity Bank. It has tweeted 10,263.

@FirstBankngr belongs to First Bank of Nigeria Plc. Banking transformation to digital banking has not affected First Bank in any way, rather the bank took the advantage to expand its reach, and its activities on twitter has been impressive. With 140,930 followers, First Bank has tweeted 40,312 to its followers.

@MyFCMB is the handle of My Bank and I, First City Monument Bank Plc. With 18,672 followers, 10,625 tweets, FCMB isn't toying with social banking, and that's why your tweet to the bank would adequately get quick tweet-back.

@gtbank belongs to the leader of social banking in Nigeria, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. Its 520,849 followers (and still growing every second ) get banking services via its handle, particularly complaints are quickly attended to via twitter with 124,669 tweets to its credit.

@heritagebankltd is where Heritage Banking Company Ltd could be reached on twitter. It has 20,734 followers with 3,622 tweets.

@keystonebankng is official twitter handle of Keystone Bank. With 3,598 followers, the bank has tweeted 3,374 tweets about its services, resolving complaints.

@SkyeBankNigeria is where Skye Bank plc has tweeted 11,613 to its 20,415 followers.

@StanbicIBTC represents Stanbic IBTC Bank Ltd on twitter. This bank is not doing badly on twitter with its 138,060 followers and 26,508 tweets.

@StanChart is for the global bank. Nigerian branch is live on www.sc.com/ng. It has 35,239 followers with 5,265 tweets.

@Sterling_Bankng has tweeted 14,235; Sterling Bank Plc has 22,433 followers on twitter.

SunTrust Bank Nigeria Limited. It's a new licensed bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria. As at the time of this writing this article, its site is still under construction. And a check on its twitter handle shows that it has just two tweets. I'll keep you updates when the bank is fully bank on social banking.

@unionbank_ng has tweeted 1,449 to its 42,476 followers on twitter. Considering the long banking history of Union Bank of Nigeria, it's pushing on to be social.

But it has the lowest tweets among the banks in Nigeria. The bank is carrying out structural renovations of its branches across Nigeria. Its customers should be hopeful that it would have time for social banking when is fully settled.

@UBAGroup tweets to its 30,175 followers via this handle. With its 17,541 tweets, United Bank for Africa Plc has resolved complaints, and keep its customers/ followers updated about news, products and services.

@UnityBankPlc belongs to Unity Bank Plc with 9,299 followers and 1,467 tweets.
@wemabank is where Wema Bank Plc tweets. With 19,769 followers and 4,979 tweets, Wema Bank doesn't want to be left behind in social banking.

@ZenithBank has 14,443 followers, and the bank has tweeted 2,805 on twitter.
