"Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food."

Esteeming God Word's in your life as a christian is the most vital activity you can ever. The above verse was Job's true confession with respect to him and God's Word.

It's very important that we highly esteem (treasure) God's Word lives. This is because God's Word is life, light, truth, peace, medicine, power, protection, real food, etc.

Yesterday, I heard of an Indian Catholic nun who read where the Lord Jesus mentioned that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word which comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4).

This woman told herself that if that word is true, then it must work. She started acting on that Word by only taking a cup of tea and meditating on the Word of God for an hour. She did that for her breakfast, lunch, and dinner_ cup of tea, and an hour of meditation on the Word of God everyday. And for that passed thirty years, this Indian nun has never eaten food or anything solid. She's still alive and strong. This is how powerful God's Word is. The Word of God sustained this woman for thirty years without food. This is inextricably amazing.

The number one thing we must esteem in our lives is God's. But before you can esteem it the way you should, you need to see the Word of God with God's eyes. There is no truth and reality beyond God's Word. It is supreme over all the world's most recognized truths. Sometimes you hear some Christians say that we have to put aside the Bible and talk reality. What an insult on the Word of God!

They are saying that there is another reality better than the Word of God. No wonder they are in serious sufferings. I heard a gentleman say, "Money is first to me, then God." Maybe you've been thinking that God's Word is not all, you must repent in the first place. You cannot talk like this and expect God's Word to bless you. God will be happy with you at all.

If only you esteem God's Word in your life, your life will be great. Treasure God's Word beyond every other thing. This was Job's secret. Hallelujah. Tomorrow we will look at how to esteem God's Word. God bless you.
