Absalom Jones Celebration ~ Saturday at 10am ~ Join us!

Dear Friends in Christ,

A reminder about our exciting program for this Saturday's annual celebration of Blessed Absalom Jones, the first African American priest in The Episcopal Church.

Bishop Daniel Gutiérrez will be the celebrant for the service with a guest sermon from Bishop Carlye H. Hughes from The Episcopal Diocese of Newark and music from The Church Farm School Choir; St. James School; Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Choir and the Northeast High School Choir; and The P.A.C.E. Music Group - Camden Brass Ensemble.

Please join us on Saturday, February 13 at 10 a.m. You can register here: absalomjonesvideo.comThe service leaflet is here.

We are also offering a dial-in option for this service. The required registration link above is for both the virtual and dial-in option.

Bishop Gutiérrez has also asked congregations to celebrate Blessed Absalom the following day, February 14, in their respective liturgical settings. We are attaching several liturgical resources – suggested readings and an excerpted bio - for your use on that date.
