Does Extramarital Affairs Permanently Disqualify Pastors From The Ministry?

Church most pastors believe church leaders who commit adultery should withdraw from the pulpit for some time, but only a small percentage believe extramarital affairs permanently disqualify pastors from the ministry.

Pastors are split over ministry return time for pastors who commit adultery an overview of the findings from LifeWay Research’s recent study. When a pastor commits adultery, most of their fellow pastors believe they should withdraw from public ministry for at least some time. A new survey of U.S. Protestant pastors by Nashville-based LifeWay Research finds 2% of pastors believe a fellow pastor who has an affair does not need to take any time away.

Yall, I’ve always wondered about this, years ago I came across a viral video about a pastor confessing his sin of adultery to his congregation.    But then the wife took the mic and began to speak loudly (the pastor was sitting there like a scared little boy); but what really got under my skin was when the wife started talking badly about the side chick that he committed adultery with...putting the blame on her. But yet people will continue to stay under this kind of leadership, why?
