Reader today Beauty and the Beast is released in theaters everywhere, but not without push back from the Fake Christians community. Once again fake christians are up in arms when word leaked out that Disney’s much-anticipated live action retelling of a childhood classic Beauty and the Beast will show its first openly gay character, La’Fou.
Yesterday Pastor John Piper tweeted an article under this tagline: "Do you trust Disney with your kids?"
I been watching afar the buzz surrounding the movie, and the thing that gets me is that fake christians are upset about the scene being homosexual, but they ignore the angry mob, as mentioned, and the fact that the entire storyline is based on either beastiality and/or Stockholm syndrome.
Beauty and the Beast, a childhood classic, a story about a water buffalo who keeps a young girl against her will to force her to fall in love with him... but gay characters is what fake christians are mad about.
If fake christians going to boycott this movie now, at least they need to admit to themselves that they should have boycotted it long ago. Plus if you had any morals at all 45 won't have become our next president.
Anyhow, I believe the author whole point of her article is that it's odd that people are shocked about the "gay moment" being talked about in Beauty and the Beast and forget the fact that Disney has never represented a biblical worldview.
I love how she talks about us being more diligent about raising our children in the ways of The lord. We should have been questioning everything and seeking to hear God's voice in all things when it comes to our children.
