	According to which habits do you live? “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2)
On the weekend we were on a business trip to Linz and decided to make use of the time on Sunday to drive to the 7km away Pleschinger dam for a swim. It is a beautiful, very clean dam and we really enjoyed being there. We found it odd how pairs of swans, with their young and some ducks, swam around in between the people. Undaunted, they walked onto the meadow in-between the people and ate grass or other food which the people offered to them. Actually, this behaviour is unnatural and unhealthy because they are basically wild animals. But, they are already so used to people that they are neither afraid nor perturbed. We humans are also at risk of getting used to an unnatural and unhealthy way of life. Christians, especially, should be careful not to allow the habits of the world to overpower us. Once we get onto the wrong path, it can happen quickly that we start perceiving everything as normal and become more and more sinful. Immediately, the enemy misleads us and pacifies us so that we don't even realize that these wrong paths have become habits. (John 8:44). In order to give no room to the devil, we need to daily cleanse ourselves with the Word of God. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 tells us to prove all things. My dear ones, if we are to develop habits, why don't we make haste and develop those habits which lead to a transformed life under God's guidance? Reading the Bible daily, prayer habits in the home, worship etc. all lead to virtuous habits which bring about God's blessings. Quite honestly, for me it is a program with priority.
