“I will tell of the Kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us—yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses.” Isaiah 63:7 (NIV)
Today’s Verse is an example of words of praise out of the book written by the prophet Isaiah. The prophet does not specify in this verse exactly what the Lord had done for His people. His main emphasis was that what God had done demonstrated his kindness to His people. We speak often of God’s love for us. We must remember that because He loves us He is kind to us, wanting to do things that are good for us. So what should be our reaction to God’s kindnesses? Our verse reminds us that in return for his kindness we need to praise Him. Today as you think of how loving and how kind God is and has been to you, respond with praise to God from your heart and from your mouth. Let Him know of your thanksgiving by praising Him.
