Communication Brings Restoration

Throughout the Bible, the reader is commanded to see and listen just like the people the stories are about. It makes you think that seeing and listening are important. In fact, I gave it some thought today and realized the best advice I could give someone who wants to grow in their walk and in life is to become an effective communicator. We all think we communicate pretty well, but if we were to take a closer look we’d see we all need some improvement, especially today when there are so many means of Communication. We don’t just talk to each other anymore, we email and text probably more than we speak. Communication is not just about what is said or written but also how it is said or written and the flow of response and the timing of response. And don’t forget motive. I mean communication is not one-sided; it often involves more than two people. So with all of these facets and moving parts it is no wonder miscommunications happen.
