A Christian without any passion for the lost or burning desire to be spent for Christ and the salvation of the world is living a lukewarm life or severely backslidden and could not be saved as well.

**Luke 9:23-24**
“And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. 24 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it.”

This passion and commitment comes when our hearts are fully surrendered to Christ.

**James 1:22**
“But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.”

A good example; the apostle Paul had every excuse not to witness because he was an apostle.

But he prayed,

**Ephesians 6:19-20**
”and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak”

Do you qualify to be a witness for Christ, take a look at the qualifications found in

**1 Corinthians 2:1-3**
“And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, as you can see from these verses you do qualify to be a witness for Christ.”
Just determine to be a true and faithful witness even if your scared. If we’re Christians followers of Jesus we will be fishers of men.

**Matthew 4:19**
And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

You may not feel brave when you do it but true courage is when you have fear but do it anyway.

**Matthew 14:27**
“But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”

You need to have the zeal of God make it a matter of earnest prayer to God lukewarmness in our Love for God is a great insult to Jesus and if you don’t love God with your heart, soul, mind, and strength you definitely should repent. If you don’t have the zeal of God eating you up and you’re not hot for Him your a backslider in heart filled with your own ways basically your not part of the body of Christ. Remember all He did for you on the cross.

**Romans 5:8**
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Who wouldn’t be interested in everlasting life and if they won’t hear pray for them.”

**John 15:1-11**
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot * bear fruit of itself unless * it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless * you abide in Me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing *. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever * you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. 9 Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. 11 These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.”

Just remember,

**1st John 4:18**
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.”

Have a perfect love for God that will push aside our fear even if we’re scared silly with Christ’s help. Have faith be a true and faithful witness don’t be judged by God He will bring every work into judgment. We should want to return His love and abound in the work of the Lord. Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost and we should walk in His footsteps.

**Philippians 2:14-16**
“Do all things without grumbling or disputing; 15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.”

It is more blessed to give than to receive; give everyone the gospel.
