a lichen on a oak tree.   not much to say, but here it is.  there are lichens on everything here, if it sits outdoors for a while.
      i read once that a movie studio, in England, wanted to create a front yard from North Florida.  reviewer says they did a good job, even right down to the lichens on the mailbox!

every object, here in north florida, seems to have a lichen or ten on it, if it has been exposed to weather for a while.
