Notre-Dame Cathedral In Paris On Fire – the famous and popular cathedral in Paris France is on fire and even collapses. #NotreDame #Paris
Notre-Dame Cathedral is a popular tourist destination in France. The fire broke out Monday morning, April 15, 2019. Sadly this occurred just days before Easter.
Some speculation is the fire is from some renovations currently going on in the cathedral. The roof has collapses as part of the fire. At this time, there is no known cause of the fire.
Police and government officials are asking people to stay clear of the area for safety. At this time, there is no word of any injuries of deaths either.
This cathedral dates back to the 12th Century (period from 1101 to 1200 in accordance with the Julian calendar in the Common Era).
French media quoted the Paris fire brigade saving the fire is “potentially linked” to a 6 million-euro ($6.8 million) renovation project on the church’s spire and its 250 tons of lead.
