Philosophy Wire: The problem of free will: Solved. Accept it.

Philosophy Wire by Spiros Kakos [2018-01-27]: A new gene that can lead to sudden death among young people and athletes has now been identified by an international team of researchers. The gene, called CDH2, causes arrhythmogenic right ventricle cardiomyopathy (ARVC), which is a genetic disorder that predisposes patients to cardiac arrest and is a major cause of unexpected death in seemingly healthy young people. We are slaves to our fate.
And yet we have free will.
This is one of the greatest problems of all times.
Many philosophers have stumbled upon it without managing to offer a solution.
We are troubled by our free will.
So troubled that many of us actually believe we do not have!

And yet the solution to the problem came a long time ago from mystics who offered their silent knowledge to anyone who was able to listen in the empty forest…

Yes we have free will!

Free will not to determine our life.
But to accept life.

Free will not to choose how to die.
But to accept death!

Free will not to make choices that change anything.
But to embrace the cosmos and its clarity!!

Sit down and listen to the river flowing.
You cannot control it.
Just let it flow.
