So, I have been having a big and long-term problem with a rat snake. I finally caught a big fat 6-footer in action today. (It's longer than I am tall. I'm 5'7".) I let them live when I can, but this one has been too costly for too long. I could not dispatch it quickly on the soft ground, so I told my two youngest "Girls, move out of the way. I am going pick it up and throw it." Only, Hannah didn't hear me. I wish I could have recorded her Face as it landed at her feet. I am still laughing at her pale face, big eyes, and the quiet mumbling to herself "Oh, she said "MOVE." She said MOVE!"
