Some updates

Forgive me if I repeat something. I do not have time to go back and read through the posts.

I have not heard anything new about Katherine. There is a court date this month. Her father did say she was doing better mentally.

Our friend David needs prayer for salvation, wisdom, and godly mentorships.

Kenny, our friend in one community, is in need of prayers for his health (cancer, very, very bad arthritis from paratrooping days) and salvation.

I am waiting on update on our dear friend with the heart issues.

Joshua has started the manager training. Once he completes the three month period, he will receive a nice Raise. He's had some people challenge his authority because he is so young. He's stood his ground and done well with it.

Caleb has been officially made a Trainer in the kitchen. He has received a raise for that. He was also given another kitchen raise recently. Together they make for a nice raise. In his maintenance position, he has a lot of avenues to explore. His boss is mentoring him which is really nice. There are a lot of options to be weighed and prayed over.

I shared Amanda's news that she may be going to day shift soon. She will be doing the same leadership position, but she will lose the shift differential.

Brandon is loving his new job and the income that came with it. He plans on having his home paid for within a certain number of years. He is currently renovating a building on his property.

Bethany is enjoying her job. It was an easy transition because her brothers work there and she knows so many of the people from hanging out with them. Joshua has been her trainer every step of the way. So, Joshua is standing around watching Bethany work, and he tells her what to do sine he is her trainer and manager. That's a lot like home!

Brandon, Joshua, and Caleb are disappointed they will not get to go to Europe as long planned due to the CoVid issues.

Emily and Hannah have enjoyed ice skating with their older siblings. They enjoy all of the treats and gifts that are showered on them weekly too. It is definitely advantageous to be the youngest two in a large family! With Bethany working, both of them have been a big help. This year, since they are so far ahead in their studies, I gave them off school from November 1 to January 1. We normally take off December, but this year we extended that a little.

I was in a bit of a Car Accident (not my fault, no police called) that pulled all of the same muscles in my neck, back, and chest as had been injured previously. It. Was. Almost. Completely. Healed. So. Frustrating! The original injury is labeled as Grade III Whiplash, but it was not due to a car accident so I hesitated to disclose that word to keep from adding confusion. This time it is due to a car, so we'll just call it what it is. As before, my muscles start spasming from simply holding my head up by mid-day, so I have to rest until it improves. Then, it does the same around bedtime. Instead of my usual "tough it out," I am taking pain relief at night so I can rest better. Pain isn't pleasant, but it serves a good purpose to remind us to take care of our vessel.

I am putting a note here to inform you, Dear Reader, that the changes in boys' hair in this household are solely due to girls. I'm not going to put that under the Christmas picture, but you will know when you see it. There are constant texts, phone calls, requests to ice skate, eat out, or etc. There are notes left on cars and more direct flirting. The Asbell brothers are just as popular as I was told they were two generations ago. It's very flattering to them. We are talking with our boys about staying grounded.

Thank you for all of the prayers you lift on behalf of my family. Please let me know how I can pray for you and yours.

My love to all.
