Prayer Requests and Updates

I am home earlier than expected and happy to be here! The pool felt great, and my bed will feel even better! My computer had a wire burn in half. Clint said he thinks he can fix it in a day or two. If not, Brandon said he has a computer he will give me. Caleb has loaned me one to use until it is sorted out.

T, our disabled neighbor, had a conflict with the court date for the theft of his money and possessions. He had a hospital visit planned and wants to keep that visit. The court date has been delayed. Things are tight for him money wise, but he is doing OK in that way. A friend told me she put a check for him in the mail today. Thanks Kelly!! Please keep Praying for him. He has had a tremendous amount of adversity and loss in the last two years. He is unable to get himself in and out of the bed without help and is at the mercy of others for everything. He gets very down at times. Pray for him to be able to live on his own until the Lord calls him home. He is very scared of going back to a nursing home.

The lady whose daughter had the eating disorder reported that things are not worse, maybe slightly better. Once she started opening up about it, she was able to build a good support network for herself as a parent. Her daughter is resistant to help. I realize from having a good friend with anorexia and bulimia in high school that this might get worse before it gets better. Prayer is still very much needed. I am praying the young woman realizes her need for help. I do not hear from this lady often due the nature of her work.

Clint thinks he's seeing a slight reduction in the swelling, pain, and hardness of the hematoma.

Our friend who had the pacemaker surgery is healing faster from the open wound than the doctors expected. She gives the glory to the Lord. She is still waiting for the hematomas under her arm to dissolve. They are still incredibly large. I am suppose to get an update this week.

Someone we know was being treated for the second recurrence of Lyme and co-infections. I noticed when I'd see them their mood was spiraling downward. It started affecting their daily life. I researched the drug name and learned it is known to cause changes in the brain that lead to suicide. They were never informed of this or any side effects. Our whole family reached out and helped them. Clint helped diagnose and repair their vehicle. Amanda and Joshua cleaned their house and ran an errand. I bought them dinner and invited them to spend an evening with me. Bethany and the girls bathed their pets.

P, our friend's daughter with end stage Lyme and several co-infections, is now on antibiotics. The antibiotics were $9k in the US, so they found a way to get them from Canada. It is at a very critical stage, and life is very challenging for them with the many symptoms she's having. Babesia is horrendous. I won't go into details, but it is dark and scary. Please keep lifting the whole family up in prayer.

Another friend confided in me that their adult son was deceived into a trap set by his ex-girlfriend. She lured him over and set it up to look like he was coming to harm her. There's proof she set him up through texts, but he still ended up in jail. He's at risk of losing his car, job, and home. His mother is like a mother to me, and I can see the toll it is taking on her health.

A mutual friend told us Clint's brother and his wife are beginning a new business. Please join us in praying for their success. We're happy for them!

Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not Grow Tired or weary,
    and his understanding no one can fathom.
 He gives strength to the weary
    and increases the power of the weak. Even youths Grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31
