Why is there so much merit in being one of the first Ten Men to show up for the minyan? A minyan is the quorum of ten or more Jewish adult men that is the minimum required in order to say many of the fixed prayers.

     When there are only ten men present each man has the merit of forming the Minyan. Without any one of them there would be no minyan. After that…when there are more than ten, then each is important, but not as precious.

     This is another good reason to rush to daven. When you are early, not only do you get more time to think about Hashem, you actually make the minyan!
