What to Tell Them?

       What to Tell Them?

     Birthright is back, Baruch Hashem. They are doing a wonderful service for the Jews they bring here. And it gives me an opportunity to speak to some Jewish boys whom otherwise I would never see.

     Okay, I have a minute or two with them. What should I talk about? Here are some of the things I usually tell them.

          Marry a Jewish girl and make a Jewish Family so your family will be here with us when the Redemption comes.

          Don't go out with a non-Jewish girl. They can be very nice, but what seems very good at night, often doesn't taste good in the morning. See where your steps will take you.

          When choosing a mate don't just look at the package, look at the ingredients.

          Choose someone you want to help, and she wants to help you.

          Being a Jew is a privilege. You came into the world as a Jew for a reason. Some one out of four hundred people in the world are Jews, and some one out of four Noble Prize winners are Jews!

               And for those who have already started to observe the Commandments I tell them;

         If you are not happy when you do a mitzvah, you didn't do it right, and I explain what should make them happy when they do a mitzvah.

         Hashem is everywhere. Talk to Him lovingly, softly, as you go throughout your day. Instead of talking to yourself, talk to Him. He's right there.

     And why am I telling you these things? You already know them. I am sending these to you to encourage you to share them with other Jews who have not yet reached your level of Torah observance. We have to help each other, or else we all won't get there!
