The Bible tells us that God,
“performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.” (Job 5:9)
Here is Jesus, in His own words:
“Believe Me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it.” (Jn 14:11-14)
I encourage you to ask… and to look for your own personal miracles or signs and wonders so that they may be an inspiration for your faith. The person who does not ask must not expect to receive.
Miracles serve as evidence of the hand of God in the affairs of man… they bear witness to His Presence among us.
The Holy Spirit speaks all the time, but our eyes, ears and hearts must be open to hearing Him and receiving His assignments. The Bible illustrates that God moves among us in many different ways, through dreams like Joseph, visions like David or even through a burning bush like Moses. Without question each of these individuals who postured their hearts to listen to God, were rewarded for their willingness.
At times God will place people in our lives, who have a huge need or seem confused beyond our understanding, just to move us into an uncomfortable position so we look for His direction and wisdom.
When you dream… ask for the meaning. When you have a vision… dare to believe its possibility. When you see a burning bush… allow yourself the permission to turn aside and see the mystery. God is always looking for those whom He can show Himself strong on behalf of. (2 Chron 16:9)
