If you have ever known a Scorpio (or are one yourself) you will not be surprised to hear that Scorpios are often considered the most intense, profound, powerful members of the zodiac (and I swear, I’m not just sucking up, just because I know that Scorpios can be vulnerable to flattery).
Even when they appear self-controlled and calm, there is usually a seething intensity of emotional Energy under the Scorpion’s inscrutable exterior.
Scorpios often exude sexuality and beckon their chosen intimates to share secrets.
Like Scorpio Bram Stoker, they may be fascinated by the fearsome side of the human heart. But it’s also true that such matters can fuel their creativity in very unique ways.
Sometimes Scorpios are accused of holding grudges, but that’s not entirely accurate. It’s just that Scorpios rarely forget anything, and will defend themselves (possibly forever) if they have been hurt. While they have a legendary sting when provoked, they are also refreshingly honest and unpretentious.
One of the most intelligent members of the zodiac, Scorpios have a deep well of strength that can make them a brilliant ally, or a vindictive enemy. They must take care to avoid becoming enmeshed in morbid or imaginary dramas, which can be tempting to Scorpios, thanks to their vivid, but sometimes brooding imaginations.
A huge abundance of energy usually makes this person a charismatic achiever and go-getter — Scorpio is never lazy. Though they may struggle with jealousy and an overly sensitive nature that takes things too personally, they also have the ability within themselves to turn this around.

Because the Scorpion and its next neighbor on the wheel, the archer Sagittarius, both deliver their most accurate sting while retreating, the energy of this time for all of us favors the protection of our resources and valuables.
Superficiality and procrastination are unacceptable when the Sun is in Scorpio. This is a time of extremes. It brings wild swings in weather, the brilliant colors of dying leaves, and the certainty that Winter’s icy entrance is drawing near.
Prepare well for potent changes. Gather in what sustains you while you still can, and get ready for long nights and barren times ahead.
Whatever matters we may have let slide must now be dealt with. Courage may be required. Although not always fun or easy, deep transformation and healing are possible during this time.
And of course, with the Sun now entering Scorpio, we are reminded that the third and final harvest is upon us — Samhain is just a little over a week away.
