O Holy Cross, the wood on which the saviour of the world was crucified, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, turning what was meant to be shameful to victory,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, climax of the works of our salvation,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where paradise was promised, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where man was restored back to God, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, our weapon for warfare,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where Mary wept to the last, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where Mary became our Mother,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood so rich with sanctifying grace, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where Jesus thirst for souls,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where all atonement to the Father was satisfied, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where Jesus finished the works of the Father,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood were Satan and his hosts were defeated, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where the salvation of the human race was placed, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where death was conquered and life sprang forth, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the tree where the evil one who conquered on the tree was conquered,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood were the world was redeemed,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood Jesus did not despise to save the world,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where Jesus suffered the reproaches of men, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where the price of our salvation was paid in full, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where the sins of humanity was forgiven in full, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where humanity made peace with God,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where Jesus breathed his last breath, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood where Jesus gave up his Spirit,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the true symbol of victory, SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the true symbol of glory,  SAVE US.

O Holy Cross, the wood that is now highly exalted,  SAVE US.

Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world, SPARE US O LORD.

Lamb of God, You take away the sins of the world,  GRACIOUSLY HEAR US O LORD.

V/. We adore you O Christ and we praise you, R/. Because by your Holy Cross, you have redeemed the world.

V/. Behold the wood of the cross, on which hung the Saviour of the world.

R/. Come let us adore.

LET US PRAY.

O God, who willed that your only begotten Son should undergo the Cross to save the human race, grant, we pray, that we who have known his mystery on earth may merit the grace of his redemption in heaven.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
