Luke 17:14‭-‬15 NKJV
14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed. 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,

Our God is a God of manifold wisdom, works, mercy and grace. He has many wondrous ways of doing things and reaching out to us.

During Jesus' ministry, he prayed for many people who were sick and they were healed immediately. The blind could see, the lame walked and the demon-possessed were set free.

In the case of the ten lepers coming to him to ask for mercy, Jesus didn't heal them on the spot. Instead Jesus instructed them to go show themselves to the priests. Notice that Jesus did not even mention any prayer or words like "be healed" which he usually did.

The ten lepers could have gotten upset. I am sure they have heard and even witnessed of how many came to Jesus and were healed immediately, including other lepers.

Yet when it came to their turn to ask Jesus for Healing, they had to leave before seeing healing happen immediately. They could have insisted that Jesus heal them on the spot. But they listened, obeyed his instructions and stepped out in faith to do it.

It is the same with our walk with God. We need to learn to trust and obey Him even when His instructions did not make sense to us. God's ways are higher than our ways and He has a unique plan for your life. How He will heal you and bless you may not be the same as how He does it for others.

Sometimes the healing and blessings may not happen immediately. But we can still hear God speak, obey and step out in faith. Trusting and believing Him that as we keep walking, we will receive our healing, our blessings and breakthroughs! And when our prayers are answered, have a heart of thankfulness and gratitude toward God, like the one leper who went back to thank Jesus for healing him.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You that You are for me and not against me. I will listen, obey and trust You that my healing, deliverance and blessings are on my way as I step out in faith. In Jesus' name amen.

With love & blessings,
Hazel Ashley
