Finding Your Security in Christ

The message from the word of God in Psalms 46:1-7 speaks of unshakable, immovable, being strong and secure in Christ.

God is our Refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Refuge is where we can take shelter from in times of danger and difficulty. Indeed we can take refuge in Him in challenging times for He is our strong tower that we can run to and dwell in.

God is our Strength. When we are weak, He is our pillar of strength that we can lean upon. It is all right to feel weak at times, for we are not perfect. Yet, through His love and grace, our weaknesses are made perfect in His strengths.

God is our very present help. This is an assurance and promise that God is right here in this moment to help us.

When we do not see our Breakthrough coming and that our prayers have not received the answers we need, do not be misled to think that God is either not hearing or not doing anything to help you.

We need to remind ourselves of the promises and the goodness of God in our life.

God is always working in the background and He is always our help in this present moment of our needs and troubles. And so we need to learn to walk by faith (seeing with your spiritual eyes) and not by sight (seeing with your natural eyes), and let this not just be a nice slogan verse to quote but to learn to live it out.

For our God is always working and moving in the spiritual realm that we cannot see with our physical eyes. Your breakthrough does not come right away or at the timing that you are expecting does not mean that God is not doing anything. God is a covenant keeping God who loves us and who gave us many promises from His word that we can stand upon. Men and life may fail us but God will never fail us.

God's help will always arrive timely. He will never be late. Just when we think that the darkness of our situation will never end, God will help us just at the break of dawn.

Friends, don't give up! Your breakthrough may just be around the corner.

We have a great God, a loving heavenly Father in whom we can take refuge and lean upon.

While everything around us shakes, we need not fear. God will help us and cause us to be unshakable and immovable as we stand firm on His word and His promises!

Psalms 46:1‭-‬7 NKJV
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah There  is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is  in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

Dear God, I thank You that You are God of my refuge and strength. When I am in dangerous and dire situations, I can take shelter and comfort in You. Lord, help me to trust you even when my circumstances do not change for the better immediately. Lord, I pray that you will empower me to overcome all my challenges. I believe that my breakthrough is already on its way. In Jesus' name, amen!

God bless,
Hazel Ashley
