Carry the Burden Proudly

Have you ever had a great Burden that's made each day feel a little bit harder to bear? It could feel like a few extra pounds, making your steps a little heavier, a bit more difficult to breathe. Maybe you've been struggling with something for a while, holding on to the past and letting it weigh down your thoughts, your body, making it hard to sleep, to focus, to live. If we are overcome by the burdens we bear, it makes it impossible to really move forward and live the way God has planned for us. Are you letting the struggles in life weigh you down?
Today's Reading states:'For you remember our labor and toil, brethren; we worked night and day, that we might not burden any of you, while we preached to you the gospel of God. You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and righteous and blameless was our behavior to you believers; for you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to lead a life worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory. And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers' (1 Thessalonians 2:9-13).
Today's reading talks about how it can be a large burden to carry God's word to the world, but with great rewards. It's not always going to be an easy task, being one of the few that holds strong to the Catholic traditions, not letting the changing world phase your belief. However, with God on our side, we can face every challenge that comes our way, overcome every burden that may weigh us down. Take some time today and ask God to take every burden that you're facing, and help you be strong when rising up to tackle them.
Today we pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for for helping me to face every challenge that comes my way. Help me to bear my burdens and put my full trust in You.
I pray in Your most holy name, Amen.
