The Lions are beat up, but will see some players returning from injury.
Both the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills will be pretty beat up as they face off for Week 15 on Sunday afternoon.
Five of the Lions’ inactives are not a surprise. Receiver Bruce Ellington, running back Kerryon Johnson, tackle Rick Wagner, defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand and defensive back Charles Washington were already declared out on Friday with injuries.
The good news is that several players that were questionable are active and appears will play. Matthew Stafford will play despite a back injury. Left tackle Taylor Decker is active despite a shoulder injury, and Devon Kennard will return from his shoulder injury after missing last week’s game.
The Lions’ beat-up roster also has afforded Teez Tabor the opportunity to be active on gameday. Earlier in the week, head coach Matt Patricia expressed confidence in the former second-round pick. This will be the first time Tabor is active on gameday in four weeks.
For the Bills, both of their top two running back—LeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory—are INACTIVE and will not play. That leaves just undrafted rookie Keith Ford and third-year Marcus Murphy in the backfield for Buffalo.
