Notes: Dan Orlovsky thinks Matthew Stafford will be a Hall of Fame quarterback

He may be a little biased, but...

  • During an appearance on ESPN’s radio show “Golic and Wingo” former Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky let it slip that he thinks Matthew Stafford is a Hall of Fame player, while noting that he doesn’t think anyone should predict the Lions to finish last in the division:

  • Though they only ranked the Lions secondary as 12th best in the league, Pro Football Focus thinks Glover Quin is the eighth-best safety in the NFL.

  • Eric Ebron spoke very highly of Matthew Stafford at Colts training camp, saying the Lions quarterback “so smart” and “so intelligent.” (h/t Lions Wire):

  • Taylor Decker isn’t thinking about his performance last year or the injury that caused him to miss the first couple months.

  • Want a national view on how the Lions looked when they opened up practice? NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was at training camp on Friday, and spoke with DetroitLions.com’s Tori Petry:

  • Lions Wire’s Erik Schlitt gave his predictions on which Lions rookies are going to impress during camp and the 2018 season.
