Lions notes: Bob Quinn is ‘leading the charge’ to get the running game fixed

Bob Quinn is on the job.

  • Detroit Lions GM Bob Quinn joined SiriusXM NFL Radio this week to talk about the Matt Patricia hire among other topics. One topic of focus was the Lions’ lackluster running game. Quinn took full responsibility for last year’s failures and plans to attack the weakness hard this offseason.

  • Just a few weeks after his diary was released by the LA Times, former Lions receiver Titus Young was denied parole on Monday due to his “history of violent criminality.”

  • Re-live the Detroit Lions’ top 10 passing plays of the 2017 season:

  • DetroitLions.com’s Tori Petry has a great interview with ESPN’s Patriots beat writer Mike Reiss, who gave the background on Matt Patricia’s time in New England.

  • Thanks to commenter MaizeAndBlueWahoo, we’re internet famous and permanently linked to Toto’s “Africa”:

(It’s still up, too!)

  • Nate Burleson is very impressed with Lions receiver Kenny Golladay, and thinks he could be the next DeAndre Hopkins.

  • Lions linebacker Brandon Copeland almost got himself eaten by a tiger (not really, he’s fine):

To all the #haters out there who would have laughed and said “that’s what Cope’s dumb ass gets for getting in the cage with a tiger” if buddy attacked me YOU RIGHT ‍♂️ Some moments you walk away from like that wasn’t my smartest decision but now Im ready to write this tell all book of how I survived this tiger encounter for $1Mil- any takers? Lol Swipe ➡️ to see how shook I was the entire time : Pic 1: Quick backpedal and the “You got it pimp” point lmao ✌ Pic 2: “Im scared as hell” Pic 3: Stunting like Im comfortable but barely touching my guy

  • ESPN’s Bill Barnwell suggested a five-part plan for the Lions’ offseason. Zac Snyder of Detroit Jock City offered his opinion on all five moves.
