The Lions have waived their second UDFA of the day.
The Detroit Lions have started their cuts on the offensive line. According to Players First Sports Agency, offensive guard Connor Bozick has been waived from the team.
Bozick was originally signed to the team as an undrafted rookie back from Delaware in May. He only lasted a week before being waived. However, two months later the Lions decided to bring him back to give him another shot to help out the Lions’ tenuous situation at offensive guard.
Bozick’s release doesn’t come as much of a surprise. He was always near the bottom of Detroit’s depth chart. However, he is practice squad eligible. So if the Lions think he has enough potential, he may stick around.
Bozick is the second undrafted free agent reported to have been released. Earlier in the day, undrafted rookie receiver Michael Rector was cut from the team.
