Cougars seem to be the in thing these days. But where society says yes, I say no. Some Women may want a young ‘un, but as the saying goes, the Older the berry, the sweeter the juice. In my opinion, women should always date older men. Here’s why.
N.B. By “older men”, I’m not referring to men of any specific age, just relationships where the man is older than the Woman, for example a 24 year old woman and a 30 year old man, a 32 year old woman with a 38 year old man etc. Although some of this could apply to gay guys too.
It’s no secret that confidence is the most attractive feature a man can have. You can find this in the cocky, arrogant guys your own age. However you can find the good parts without the bad parts by dating someone older, where the power dynamics and extra life experience allow him to take the lead.
Not talking about in the bedroom here (although for some that could be a bonus). But even the most conservative woman will like how an experienced man comes across. Younger guys can sometimes have bad game, but an older experienced man has been around the block, sent a few clingy texts, got friendzoned, and now knows how to handle women.
My 25 year old male friends still act like 15 year olds. Give me a thirty-something any day of the week.
Now I know it’s an equal society, and women should be expected to pay their way, particularly on the first few dates. However, when it comes to relationships, every 20-something London girl working in a creative industry can attest to the fact that dating a man who earns twice as much as you and can pick up the tab is no bad thing.
5. Biological Clock
It’s no secret that women’s biological clocks tick faster than men’s. Let’s say you’re a 25 year old women, and start dating a 20 year old man. 5 years down the line, you’re 30 and want marriage and kids asap, whereas he’s a 25 year old with the world at his oyster who’s just spent the last 5 years in a committed relationship. So he’s out the door and sowing his oats, and you’re left to pick up the pieces. However, if you date a 30 year old man, 5 years down the line he’ll be 35, hairline starting to recede and sperm count declining, so ready to settle down too.
So there you have it. Take note and adjust your Tinder age parameters accordingly.
