Andrew Burgon’s Personal Blog: An Introduction
I’m starting this post category in the hope of connecting in a more Personal way with those who follow my blog. I’ll be adding photos and videos of my life over the coming year.
I guess an introduction is in order. My name is Andrew Burgon. I’m from Brisbane, Australia. For over 20 years now I’ve been living and working in San Chong, Taiwan. Taipei city is just a 10 minute bus ride away.
I love Taiwan. It has been good to me. The people are friendly. I have enjoyed rock solid job security. It’s a great place to base yourself if you are interested in seeing Asia. South East Asia is my favorite destination and I have traveled there many times.
I am married to a Taiwanese. My wife’s name is Jenny and my son’s name is Ethan. Jenny works as a purchaser for an American company and Ethan is in Elementary school.
A year and half ago I quit my job and embarked on a problogger career. It has been a difficult and lonely road to date.
There are so many people on-line shouting into a megaphone to get attention. Many articles have been published on information overload.
So many sites now dominate their keyword niches. Teams of professional internet marketers are gobbling up thousands of keywords.
The bar of success seems to be considerably higher that it was 10-15 years ago. The hundreds of short videos I’ve seen make it sound a lot easier than it really is to make a living on-line. If I’m to have any chance of success I must also become a good internet marketer. I am just starting to veer strongly in that direction.
