When Stressed, Do This First!

Stress can come at us from all directions, including inside of us. I think we all know how it can affect us mentally, emotionally, physically, & spiritually. I previously wrote four articles on stress which you might want to take a look at in this blog. But here, I want to share with you what I think is the first thing to do.

I have noticed that when I am in a hurry, I have all kinds of things falling out of my hands or end up forgetting something. Have you noticed that when you are Stressed and hurried, a lot of things go wrong? So what is the first thing you hear in an emergency situation? – STAY CALM! It is one of the reasons kids have fire drills at school. We want them to be prepared in an Emergency Situation to exit the building in a calm and orderly manner. This will save the maximum number of lives. In a panic, people will trample over each other in a rush to get out.

The best thing we can do when we are feeling stressed, pressured, or in a hurry is to stay CALM! Things probably will go better and smoother when we approach it calmly. Next time you are stressed, pressured, or hurried, take a few deep breaths & repeat the words “calm & relaxed” a few times until you feel calmer. Don’t rush, keep calm!
