Last Saturday, I had one of the most beautiful and surreal moment I have had since moving to Wales and I simply had to share it with you this Monday morning.
We were walking along Newbourgh Beach on the Isle of Anglesey, and decided to walk out a bit futher to the point where the lighthouse is. About twenty minutes of walking, past muddy bogs and wide puddles leaving just a little bit of navigation space, we arrived in an open field. In the field, was a 12th century ruin of a chapel and to my surprise a group of horses.
At first, I thought the horses were out for a ride by a local and they were simply grazing. As I got closer, I realised that the horses (or were they ponies?) were actually wild.
There was a small group of people, getting close to the horses snapping photos or trying to pet them. Understandably, the horses were a bit jittery and didn’t enjoy being followed or being almost stalked for the perfect photograph.
Instead, I slowly walked toward the horses to observe and hopefully get close enough for a few good photos. In that moment, I observed that the horses reacted to the Energy that was around them. There were people who followed the horses which tried in vain to get closer, or those who calmed down and adjusted rhythm for the horses.
I slowed down. I adjusted my energy. And even though I was bursting at the seams excited, I was calm. That energy (I believe) brought the horses close to me as I wasn’t a threat or hostile. I had the chance to carefully stroke the muzzle of one horse while feet from the rest of the group.
I was an amazing-surreal-holy shit moment. In the distance, I had the sea views while standing on the ruins of a chapel.
And as I walked away, I realized that this was a perfect example of how impactful energy can be. When we exhibit energy in the world, we get what we put forward. Because I calmed my energy down, the horses could sense that I wasn’t a threat.
Or in work, if you exude positive or upbeat energy it is more likely that you will uplift others and be a motivating factor. Or if we are non-collaborative, team members will sense this and return a similar energy.
With that in mind, this week, let’s give the world the energy we are seeking. If we are looking for positivity, we will be positive first. If we are looking for thoughtfulness, we will give the world calm thoughtfulness as well.
How doest that sound? What type of energy will you be adding to the world this week?
