The 2014 Cape Epic Via Instagram

Easily one of my best memories of 2014 was working as part of the media logistics crew for the Cape Epic. Working behind the scenes had me meeting the coolest people from the Cape Epic as well as the press who come from all over the world. Waking up early and getting to bed really late at night also meant that I had an insane number of opportunities to get photos, which I shared live via Instagram. These are them.

If you ever get the chance to work on the Cape Epic during the race, drop everything and do it.

I borrowed one of the Specialized single speed hard tails and took it for a burn on the roads of Greyton. I forgot how much I've missed cycling.
Space to be free. Greyton.

'The lost roads' I'm happiest when on the move, and the dirt roads of the #AbsaCapeEpic were spectacular

I miss waking up in something I just fit into, in some of the most beautiful areas of the country. #AbsaCapeEpic
We met one of the funniest people in the @AbsaCapeEpic media centre, @jeffayliffe . No matter how many years go by, we'll always remember Jeff's sprinting story. #AbsaCapeEpic
Onto the last stop of the @AbsaCapeEpic at Lourensford. Sending The 3.2 'White Horse' into the driving rain. #absacapeepic

Spotted two of the @AbsaCapeEpic riders from the car as we went from Greyton to Elgin. Elgin is the Oprah Winfrey of apples. YA'LL GETTING ONE!

Riders descend into the mist this morning in Greyton on the @AbsaCapeEpic. Today we're in Elgin and it is awesome.

The media centre at the Cape Epic. These people don't get much sleep, but they're the coolest people you'll ever meet.
