Maddow's Mouthy Rant Turns into a Nothing There - There!

THE OP-ED REPORTER: Dear Reader. . .Sometimes when we don't understand something, especially when we believed it to be a "gotcha" moment, shows one significant thing about media and Ms. Rachel Maddow of MSNBC: an insignificant Attempt to turn chit-chat material into a international diatribe in order to boost ratings.

TV host Maddow's recent rant was a time blunder in an apparent dragged-out partisan spectacle. No meat and potatoes; not even pabulum for the crying "left" hellbent on a mission to bring the current administration down.

For a show that MSNBC touts as a take on the biggest stories of the day, political and otherwise, her analysis of President Trumps 2005 two-page tax return was a flub-a-dub backlash in the world of Twitter, and Facebook.

What a desperate attempt to boost ratings using 12 year old information. Two pages is a big nothing in tax terms for those who don't fully understand the process or should I say choose not to. There is no fire here in Ms. Maddow's attempt to insinuate. This proves nothing more than the fact that then Donald Trump paid 38 million dollars to the government and millions more in other required legal taxes.

Presidnet Donald Trump is a smart rich man, who knows how to limit tax liability and not pay more taxes than required by law. Sadly something big government hasn't been able to do for the working taxpayers.

Hyping for ratings is speculation and speculation can be a killer. And, so is a felony act of leaked tax return information under criminal IRS code 7213.

MSNBC will more than likely claim their protected under the First Amendment for Maddow's broadcast. But are they; is she? That protection is not a given. It will all depend on the final investigation of how the two-page tax return was secured.

It will become problematic for the reporter who gave out the information, even more so if in any way Ms. Maddow asked for, searched for, sought out someone or bartered for this information.  Sometimes it is called "pulling strings."

The lady's attempt to hurt the president helped him according to the backlash on Twitter and Facebook. Sometimes a good education isn't enough. There is always a better way to skin a cat - it's called using "street smarts." Smarts apparently this eager "rating" beaver seems to have forgotten despite the elite accolades about her ability.

And that's the story.
