FA gives Manchester United and Manchester City extra time for reports.

Manchester United and Manchester City have been given extra time to provide their observations following reports of an incident after Sunday’s Premier League game.

They now have until 6pm on Friday, the Football Association has announced, to provide an explanation for what happened during a tunnel altercation after City’s 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho was irked by the loud music and celebrations from Manchester City’s open dressing room as he made his way to his post-match press conference and an altercation followed when he made his feelings known to City goalkeeper Ederson.

The United boss then had a carton of milk thrown towards him from inside the dressing room which hit one of his backroom staff, according to Sky sources, while Manchester City Assistant Coach Mikel Arteta suffered a cut to the head in the incident but no punches were thrown.
