The publication by Elder Aniekan Umanah that he was not involved and has no knowledge of the purported unscrupulous land transaction between the Abak local government council and the management of the Tilapia Island Resort has been proven to be false and misguided, inforeservoir reports.

Aniekan Umanah was however the first among the indicted persons to publicly deny having any role or knowledge in the transaction and followed by Friday Iwok and some superficial clarifications made much later by Dr. Emman Udosen, the caretaker chairman of Abak Local Government Area.
Investigation by inforeservoir reveals that Hon. Elder Aniekan Umanah was not only consulted by the local government council and management of the Tilapia Island Resort but had also given his approval for execution of the project.
Aniekan Umanah, a former commissioner for Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Information And Communications is also presently indicted in another land theft scandal.
He is said to have used his connection with Ex-governor Godswill Akpabio to allegedly convert the Abak armed forces remembrance cenotaph ground to his personal estate.
Inforeservoir investigation team is presently collecting visual and audio evidences and other documents on the Tilapia Island Resort land deal.
These collections will be published soon to satisfy the curiosity of Abak people and beyond on the roles of their supposed stakeholders and leaders in the alleged transaction.
