Member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly is in trouble and may be recalled over poor presentation and display of low Intelligence quotient on the floor of the house during Tuesday’s plenary.
Our Correspondent who covered the plenary reported that Members of the State House Of Assembly had vehemently kicked against Mark Esset’s Motion on illicit bread production.
At least, thirteen (13) lawmakers who spoke against the motion, expressed shock at the Low Intelligence Quotient displayed by the Nsit Atai born lawmaker. They opined that Esset’s motion lacked merit and was poorly presented.
Mark, an Elder of the Apostolic Church was ordered to quickly withdraw the said motion.
Peruse few remarks and reactions of some lawmakers on the floor of the house, against Mark Esset’s motion.:
“I eat local bread and I am Still alive till today”, Hon. Samuel Ufuo, member, Mbo State Constituency.
On his part, member, Etinan State Constituency, Barrister Aniefiok Dennis, said: “This motion should not find his way to this House again”
“No vehicle for this motion to come to this House”, said Rt Hon( Barr)Ime Okon, member, Ibiono Ibom.
The Itu representative, Prince Idongesit Ituen, said: “This motion should be Expunged from this House beause it lacks merit”
“This motion is not people’s oriented an it lacks merit and evidence”, Hon. Otobong Akpan, member Ukanafun.
The member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State constitiency, Dr Usoro Akpanusoh said; “This House is not a father Christmas house to entertain any type of motion, this motion lacks merit and the owner should withdraw the motion from this House”.
Meanwhile, when the news of the Esset’s poor presentation and anti-people motion found its way into the social media, some erudite political analysts expressed disappointment and urged the people of Nsit Atai to be wary of their representative .
Enobong Udoma, wrote this as comment:
“So this Mark Esset has really not have something reasonable to think n do as a member of the house of assembly? How long ago did he stop eating agege bread? Na wao….just looking for medium to victimize the poor. Mtcheeew”.
Umoren Umoren said: “Dont tell me he (Esset) wants to start his bread factory and is already devicing a means to get rid of other competitors”.
At the moment, one question begging for answer is, what does Mark Esset seeks to achieve with this anti-people motion? Only time will tell.
