Paul Manafort is throwing Melania Trump under a bus after she plagiarized Michelle Obama’s speech at the 2008 Democratic convention. Um, she was humiliated on the national stage.

Mrs. Trump told NBC’s Matt Lauer during an earlier interview that she wrote the speech, so I guess Manafort is correct in saying it was her vision. But who vetted it after she was finished?

CBS:  “They’re a couple of phrases. It’s basically three places in the speech and its fragments of words,” he said. “She knew what she was doing. And she never cribbed from another speech without acknowledging that she was quoting somebody else.”

“We’re talking about words like compassion, love of family, respect,” Manafort added. “These are not words that are unique words, that belong to the Obamas.” Asked if the speech was vetted by any campaign officials, Manafort said: “Sure, people looked at the speech, but frankly, this was her vision of what she wanted to communicate about her husband.”

He also blamed Hillary Clinton during an earlier interview. Um, no. Hillary didn’t tell Donald Trump’s wife to steal two paragraphs from Mrs. Obama’s speech. It’s quite clear, Donald Trump isn’t fit to become our next president. He can’t run a campaign and cannot run a country.
