Gregg Phillips, the man behind Donald Trump’s claim that 3-5 million people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential elections, went up in flames during an interview on CNN’s New Day.
Phillips said that he can prove that Hillary Clinton received at least three million “illegal” votes in the presidential election, but he needs several more months to get all his evidence together.
New Day host Chris Cuomo said on Phillips claims about voter fraud, “You say you can prove it. I say, ‘OK, I trust you, you can prove it.’ Show me.”
“We believe it will take probably another few months to get this done,” Phillips said.
Cuomo responded, “And yet, even though you need a few more months to get this done, you think you know the answer right now.”
“We’re volunteers!” “We know we have the answer,” Phillips said.
“Even though you can’t prove it, you think you know?” Cuomo asked.
“The numbers are actually bigger!” Phillips replied, hinting that Clinton actually got more than three million illegal votes.
When Cuomo pressed him again on how he could know there was voter fraud without proof, Phillips replied, “You can reach a conclusion, and then still verify it.”
Of course, Donald Trump is content to push a lie based on a theory that has not been verified. We have a president who governs on hunches and conspiracy theories. What a breathtaking disgrace!
