As many humans may know, recently a hiker was killed and partially consumed by a grizzly Bear in Yellowstone park; the bear was summarily murdered as a result.
[They were going to kill her cubs too but wiser more respectable minds prevailed]
At this point in my existence I find human behavior to be offensive and grotesque, but this … I’m just speechless.
I’m not sure what’s accomplished by killing a grizzly bear (~30,000 on earth) who killed 1 human (~7.6 billion on earth).
Oh I know, you’re setting an example for the other bears. And I’m sure they all gathered around and were like, “Rowr, the humans executed Rodney … and ya know, my appetite for human flesh just kinda went away as a result”
When you go to Yellowstone park – I’ve been – there are signs everywhere about not antagonizing, feeding or provoking the animals in any way. The risk is pretty well noted!!
The signs should more properly be read as – you are entering someone else’s home at your own risk, just as you defend your own home and children, it’s likely they will defend theirs.
With a little footnote reading – they are not human, they cannot be reasoned with, they aren’t fluent in any human way of communicating; we will not, however, be executing any bears as there is no “justice” in any of that; it’s akin to the human policy of not executing mentally ill prisoners – why? because they don’t understand their actions.
Bears have an even greater handicap in that they cannot communicate at all, in any useful medium.
You have done a huge injustice to life on this planet.
Humans are not of any greater value than any other creature on earth. If anything their – non-human animals – value is greater for their “innate” ability to reach an equilibrium with their ambient environment.
EVEN IF a family member or close friend or child were killed by one, I would still not condone euthanizing an innocent creature.
This is really embarrassing and disgusting, I really wish I was something other than human sometimes, or had a nice home on Ceres.
