Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer: Walker Policies “embody the foundational principles of the tea party”
Tea Party Express congratulates Governor Scott Walker and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch on an outstanding victory in Wisconsin’s historic Gubernatorial recall election. Amy Kremer, Chairman of Tea Party Express said, “The victories just keep rolling in, and the victory tonight over these frivolous recalls emphasize the Tea Party tidal wave that is sweeping across our nation. Governor Walker’s and Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch’s policies embody the foundational principles of the tea party. “This victory tonight truly speaks to the strength of the Tea Party movement. Since entering the recall battle last summer, Tea Party Express has served as the aggregate voice of millions of tea partiers across the country. Our nearly year-long campaign has included 2 statewide bus tours, 15 rallies, state and national advertising campaigns, and over 20 million emails sent nationwide in the past month alone. “This recall garnered national attention because of the similarities to the Presidential election – it was a battle between conservatives policies that successfully balanced the budget and encouraged economic growth, and the big government policies found under the Obama administration. Tonight we sent a message that should shake Obama’s Chicago headquarters: tea party momentum is going to be coming strong and mercilessly in November,” Kremer concluded.

According to the website for Tea Party Express, “Wisconsin has become ground zero in the fight against labor union tyranny, and this battle is one we must win if we want to preserve our American Dream. 2012 is a decisive year for our nation’s future, and the momentum from these recalls in Wisconsin will be carried into Election Day in November. This is our chance to stand side-by-side with true conservative leaders and push back against the liberal agenda that threatens the America we know and love.”
