BEVERLY HILLS, October 19, (THEWILL) – No fewer than 1000 All Progressives Congress, APC, members have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in response to “the Ongoing Revolution by Governor Nyesom Wike” in infrastructural development.

The defectors, who are of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN, were received by the publicity secretary of the PDP, Hon. Samuel Nwanosike, at the headquarters of Grassroots Democratic Initiative, GDI, in Port Harcourt.

The RTEAN members also predicated their defection on the infighting and divisions within the APC, which he noted had defied solution.

The state chairman of RTAN, Ndamati Amadi, disclosed that they were uncomfortable with the infighting and divisions within the APC, which he noted had defied solution.

According to him, “Although, we were in the APC, our heart was for the PDP because of the good work Governor Nyesom Wike and his team is doing in Rivers State. In fact, there is an ongoing revolution in the state spearheaded by the governor.

“In the past, I worked closely with the governor when he was the chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area. You know he performed very well then, but as governor he has taken leadership to a different level.
