BEVRLY HILLS, March 17, (THEWILL) – The Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Lawal Daura and the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu on Friday joined President Muhammadu Buhari to observe the juma’at prayer inside the State House mosque.
This is the first time that both men will be seen in public since the Senate rejected Magu’s nomination on Wednesday following an advice from the DSS that the Acting Chairman is not fit for the position of substantive head of the EFCC.
Buhari was also joined at the prayer by the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Hammed Ali, who was on Thursday denied audience by the Senate for failing to appear in Customs uniform as he was requested to do while honouring a summon.
This is President Buhari’s first time of observing the prayer in Aso Rock since his return to the country from a 49-day medical vacation in London last Friday. The President’s return apparently explains for the apparent increase in the number of worshippers at the mosque.
